Peter Nowak, one of the authors, asked me to post a little something about his new CF book for German developers.
This book contains over 120 useful samples showcasing the potential of mobile computing today and in future. It describes the development of mobile applications from the basics up to advanced topics like Synchronization and Security. The book also has links to more than 300 web pages, which can be accessed easily through an additional tool on the CD-ROM.
Topics like Alpha Blending, AJAX, User-Stylesheets, generic Serialization, programmatic Hard Reset, Windows Mobile 5 SDK, RAPI, Deactivation of the Touchscreen or playing Videos with the .NET Compact Framework 2.0 are also covered in the book. The book is a must for every .NET Compact Framework developer who can read in German.
Chris Tacke contributed to the foreword for the book. In addition, Alex Feinman and myself provided technical expertise to the authors. Many of the samples in the book use the Smart Device Framework.
Buy the book on Amazon.de or read more about it at the German MS Press site.
