Neil Cowburn - OpenNETCF

I'm going to put my marketing hat on to clarify a few things surrounding OpenNETCF.org and its products.

• "OpenNETCF" is not a product. Never has been, probably never will be. Following on logically from that, there is no such entity as OpenNETCF 1.x.
   
• OpenNETCF actually refers to both OpenNETCF.org and OpenNETCF Consulting.
   
• Our flagship product is called the Smart Device Framework which is a shared source project (not open source) run by OpenNETCF.org.
   
• You may see the Smart Device Framework referred to as the SDF or OpenNETCF Smart Device Framework.

Referring to the OpenNETCF as a product name would be like referring to Windows as Microsoft e.g. "I can't wait for the next version of Microsoft". It just doesn't work nor is it correct.

OK, I'm going to get off this soapbox now. I'm only being picky over this because branding and identity are two incredibly important entities in these contemporary times. We've worked very hard over the past 3 years to establish the OpenNETCF identity and the Smart Device Framework brand.
